On April 17, 2006, YouthCARE was declared the winner of the 2006 Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation Fan Appreciation Contest. From April 1 - April 16, Timberwolves fans and supporters had the opportunity to participate in an in-stadium and online poll and vote for their favorite of five local non-profits. In the end, YouthCARE received 41% of the vote (over 8,000 votes!).
